For an issue on simplicity, this Metaphysical Mind Ezine sure has a lot of great content.
It is not the road ahead that wears you out -- it is the grain of sand in your shoe. -- Arabian proverb
Before we get on to the main article about simplicity, I would like to share a smaller, related article written by my mentor, "co-worker," and good friend Slade Roberson...How to Manifest Momentum: Steps 1 – 5
Trying to go from a stand-still to momentum?
Inertia is the first (and perhaps the greatest) hurdle to overcome.
Stan, a Shift Your Spirits reader, writes to me:
"I have big intentions for the New Year. I want to set some big goals, but, quite honestly, my life has been stagnant for a while now.
I don't even know how to begin to start to decide how to choose where to start!
What are the best first steps I can take to raise my vibration and set things in motion?"
The Sacred Elements
In terms of the Four Elements, the Earth element of the physical realm is where true action is taken and also where true outcomes present themselves. Earth is the element of the body, of the third-dimension, of reality.
All the inspiration, imagination, intuition, emotion, and passion in the world won't translate into reality without the physical component.
So, the simplest, most basic, most important, first step in shifting your vibration, setting intentions, and manifesting momentum is to get into your body.
A musical instrument that is out of tune will sound terrible no matter how talented the person playing it or how brilliant the song.
A computer without a power source is a box of plastic.
A car without gas or decent tires is a very sturdy… tent.
Step #1 — Move Your Body
Light physical exercise is an amazing way to build momentum and shift energy.
It may sound simple and obvious, but don't discount it.
Start wherever you are and tick up to the next notch of challenge in terms of physical activity.
Be kind to yourself. Do only that one more thing you know you can.
If for you this means some really basic wellness and physical therapy exercises seated in a chair — perfect! That works.
I recommend yoga because it is the most forgiving and flexible to the most ages, states of health, and physical circumstances — yoga allows just about anyone to start where they are, wherever that may be, and improve.
Set a goal to do a simple 15 minutes of stretching and a 15 minute walk outside every day for the next few weeks and see what kind of change in energy level you experience. That physical movement changes brain chemistry which affects your ability to manifest and operate in all other areas of your life.
Step #2 — Set Your Intentions
Setting intentions and establishing a clear vision is not the first step — why? Because more oftentimes than not, if you're stagnant, confused, paralyzed by over-analysis, or trapped in hesitation and indecision, you're missing the clarity required to set an intention and plan an effective course of action.
Or maybe it's the inspiration that you're waiting for — the bolt from the blue, the big idea, the sense of purpose, the Something to put your head and heart into.
Being in your body, being present, becoming aware of your physical environment — being plugged in — are all aspects of Step #1.
Light exercise is the absolute best brainstorm rainmaker there is — the creativity and clarity behind the best intentions often come on a nice walk around the neighborhood (or in the shower afterwards, if you work up a sweat).
Step #3 — Identify the Sacred Elements
Ideas and thoughts and visions, no matter how sparkly and inspired, are ephemeral.
Emotions and passions and drives are pure fuel — they still require a vehicle, a destination, good directions, and someone capable behind the steering wheel.
Action, action, action — yes, yes, yes — you have every intention of taking action. You've heard about this. It's a pretty freaking crucial part of making anything happen. You know. You get it. You're ready. You're on it.
You can pray and vision board and meditate and chant and mantra-tize and stick sticky notes on every mirrored surface in your world…
Manifesting with the Sacred Elements is not a "secret," it's a system. A harmonious recipe — identifying all the parts and putting them together in balance, in context, in relation to one another.
Step #4 — Simplify Your Actions
Break your goals down into the smallest components you can.
Whenever possible, identify the one simplest action that, when repeated, will result in achievement of your goal.
Err on the side of slack-ass. I'm a big believer in establishing daily actions that are the minimum of doable, as opposed to pushing yourself. Why? Because success builds self-esteem, and self-esteem lends itself to bigger and better successes, and the repetition of this cycle is that elusive and heady wild ride of momentum — surfing the Flow.
Even the smallest success produces the kind of brain chemistry and higher vibes that replicate themselves.
Example: Successfully writing 250 words a day is more powerful and productive than trying and failing to write 1000 words a day — any day.
Step #5 — Focus
Once you've completed all the brainstorming, identified the components of your goals according to the Sacred Elements, and simplified your goals into the smallest repetitive course of action — it really comes down to focus.
Forget about the future and the past, stay present, and do the one thing that's right in front of you.
Huh — look at that — one foot in front of the other. Reminds me of Step #1.

Today, I have an excellent, informative article to share with you.
This article was written by metaphysics lecturer Vipin Mehta. In it, he discusses the differences between the mindset of domination vs the mindset of dominion and how we can transform and transcend our negative emotions into positive emotions through Metaphysics.
Thank-You for reading this issue of your Metaphysical Mind Ezine.

Welcome to the first issue of Metaphysical Mind for the year 2012. I hope you had a wonderful holiday season, and made some time to enjoy yourself these past few weeks.
"Everything you see has its roots in the unseen world. The forms may change, yet the essence remains the same. Every wonderful sight will vanish; every sweet word will fade, But do not be disheartened, The source they come from is eternal, growing, Branching out, giving new life and new joy. Why do you weep? The source is within you And this whole world is springing up from it." -- Jelaluddin Rumi
As a special gift, to celebrate the onset of an exciting year of spiritual transitioning, I have added a new ebook to the Metaphysical Library titled "School of Out-Of-Body Travel: A Practical Guidebook" written by Michael Raduga.
The last two issues of these Ezine were sent out on the same day in December, rather than spaced apart by a couple of weeks, due to a technical error. If you missed either of these informative metaphysical issues, for any reason, please read them here now:

Today, in this very moment of your life, I have a few concepts and suggestions to share with you, my family.
Let us imagine that humanity, as a collective species, is only one out of trillions of cells that make up an enormous living organism known as Earth. Furthermore, let us envision that Earth is a single molecule surrounded by space, so physically small in comparison that it is literally beyond comprehension.
This analogy shows how subjective our physical reality may be.
Space itself is a vast, complex interconnected field.
Although we have only advanced in scientifically understanding one dimension of this multidimensional Mystery/Existence, we have shown that even this single aspect of All-That-Is—space-time—is quite astounding. I encourage you to imagine what could be beyond physical "reality."
In the current state of humanity, this can be difficult...we must first learn to trust the process of life: treating each and every moment as an unfolding. Let go of expectations, and know that only the best will happen for you. This will bring out the best in you, better than even you imagined.
Refuse to live as a fully-automated robot!
You are of Divine Origin and nothing can ever change that.
Release old thoughts that no longer serve you.
Cultivate awareness now.
Awareness means completely loosing yourself in whatever activity you are engaging in. When you are truly aware, there is no more "you." You become lost in the action or state of being.
If you are swimming or walking with awareness, you become one with your surroundings, you are fully absorbed by the activity; there is no you, there is only the nature surrounding you. Other common examples include getting lost in meditation or becoming the movement when performing some kind of physical activity.
True awareness is a state of mind beyond thinking. You become separated from your thoughts, and this allows you to become fully present. Awareness unlocks one's full potential and is the key to spiritual transformation.
The moment you stop thinking and allow awareness into your experience, you will feel true ecstasy and oneness with All. As such, you may find that awareness is quite addictive. Importantly, this motivates one to experience more awareness through a continuous journey of cultivating awareness daily.
Cultivating awareness is so ridiculously simple that most humans struggle with it. Effortful approaches are not effective, as one cannot try to become aware.
Instead, practice humility and simplify your waking reality.
You must willingly let go of everything that is not you.
Here are five simple steps to help you bring awareness into every aspect of your life:
1. Meditate Daily
For at least ten-fifteen minutes a day, it is advisable to sit (or lie) down with your spine straight. During this time, simply "watch" your thoughts. Do not sit and think! Instead, carefully observe the structure and content of each thought.
Bringing awareness towards a thought is an effective way to push that thought "out" of your mind.
If you practice this mindful state of empty attentiveness for a long time, you will eventually experience no thoughts whatsoever during your daily meditation.
2. Live Fully
Once you have experienced the state of mindful awareness (basically thoughtlessness), then it is easier to bring this awareness into your everyday, waking life.
It is essential for you to bring awareness, or at least properties of it, to everything you do as a human.
3. Be Easy
Do not be hard on yourself. You are learning to wake up!
This may be the greatest achievement in your life. Therefore, you have every reason to express deep love for yourself.
You cannot fail in cultivating awareness. Fully accept where you are right now.
4. Be Present
Presence is the single most important property of awareness. Maintaining conscious awareness of the present moment may be difficult at first but it becomes easier with practice.
So, practice right now...
5. Know/Love Yourself
Recognize that you are so much more than your bulky thoughts.
When you come from a place of awareness, you have unlimited potential.
Shed your robotic armor and live now; remember, something will be lost if you change your life. Keep in mind that, without exception, change is always for the better.
Lose yourself,
Jason

Welcome to this issue of Metaphysical Mind on choices. The decisions you make in this moment, each second of every day, of this existence will have an impact on all living beings in this plane of reality: the plants, the animals, the elements of nature, and even the Earth herself.
Your daily choices will also create who you become. Here are a few important quotes on this subject:
"You make what seems a simple choice: choose a man or a job or a neighborhood -- and what you have chosen is not a man or a job or a neighborhood, but a life." -- Jessamyn West
"Both abundance and lack exist simultaneously in our lives, as parallel realities. It is always our conscious choice which secret garden we will tend... when we choose not to focus on what is missing from our lives but are grateful for the abundance that's present -- love, health, family, friends, work, the joys of nature and personal pursuits that bring us pleasure -- the wasteland of illusion falls away and we experience Heaven on earth." -- Sarah Ban Breathnach
Each individual has infinite potential because of their freedom of choice.
Through awareness we can create our reality; we have the power to choose differently.
Your next step is cultivating mindfulness, so that you may more easily embrace your Inner Guidance.
"In the place of stillness, rises potential. From the place of potential, emerges possibility. Where there is possibility, there is choice. And where there is choice, there is freedom!" --Gabrielle Goddard
On Freedom of Choice:
Words and the other tools that we use to communicate have no meanings other than those we choose for them.
Your freedom of choice is exemplified by the fact that you are currently deciding how much attention to allocate to these words; at the same time, you are deciding how you feel about this message. You have also simultaneously decided on the posture which your body is currently adopting. You have decided to stay in your current surroundings. These are just a few of the near-spontaneous, personally-guided choices that you are making right now.
These decisions are almost entirely automatic, based on past experiences. However, there is a conscious aspect to the tiny choices we are unconsciously making throughout the present moment. It is for this reason that through awareness of now—people, places, things—you have the power to make new decisions which will benefit all future decisions.
By being sincere in life, with nature/oneself (and others), one may consciously create one's life. As you practice this "art of honest living," which means making the best possible choice in every miniscule decision you face in each moment, the Universe will create all kinds of positive transformations in your life.
It is important to also realize that your presence has a dramatic impact on the people, plants, and animals which you choose—unknowingly—to be around.
Energy influences reality, and there is a two-way interaction between perception and vibration. So choose wisely! Learn to be present: practice awareness of the self and surroundings. Your daily choices, no matter how small or seemingly irrelevant, affect the vibrational state (the energy) of everything else.
Each decision you make has an effect on reality. Therefore, it is time you start to become aware of the infinite little choices that make up your day-to-day life.
Again, every decision counts and almost all decisions are made unknowingly.
Although most of the choices we make remain internal, thoughts and inner feelings are even more significant than actions in many areas of life. And in the areas of life where action is more important, the right thoughts will lead to the most effective action. "Right thoughts" are those which are created in response to one's surroundings, out of a heart-centered awareness.
It is a good start to simply try to be aware of all the decisions you make unknowingly each second, so that in the future the correct choices will be chosen wisely rather than automatically.
Be open, loving, and practice kindness.
"When we know that the cause of something is in ourselves, and that we (ourselves) are one of the few things in the universe that we have the right and ability to change, we begin to get a sense of the choices we really do have, an inkling of the power we have, a feeling of being in charge... of our lives, of our future, of our dreams." -- John-Roger and Peter McWilliams
"Life does not happen to us, it happens from us." -- Mike Wickett
Choose awareness,
Jason

Thanks for tuning in! After a brief announcement on Eldon Taylor's new program (in italics below), the qualities of a spiritual teacher are outlined in this guest-authored issue written by Gary Zalben.
As always, the lesson is Love ;)
"The teacher who is indeed wise does not bid you to enter the house of his wisdom but rather leads you to the threshold of your mind." --Khalil Gibran
Before we begin the article, I am excited to share an opportunity for you to deliberate the matter of life after death in a very special online trial, and best of all, participation is totally f r e e!
We've all heard stories about near death experiences and afterlife encounters, but is there enough evidence to hold true in the criteria used by our court system - beyond a reasonable doubt - that personal consciousness survives death? This is exactly what my friend and colleague New York Times bestselling author and former criminalist, Eldon Taylor investigates in his provocative new series where you, the listening audience, become the jury. But be advised, in your search for the truth, you may well find some of your favorite theories disproved!
The evidence in this case will be closely examined via the means of near death experiences, reincarnation, electronic voice phenomenon, animals and the afterlife, mediumship, and more! You will hear in-depth testimony from 14 leading experts in these fields, such as: Dr. Raymond Moody, PMH Atwater, Dr. Julie Beischel, Dr. T. Lee Baumann, David Kessler, Dr. Kevin Nelson and Michael Tymn. By interviewing the experts, Eldon evaluates and let's you decide the verdict.
The information from this series may surprise you, so be sure to assess all the facts for yourself and make your own verdict. Also, gain access to incredible bonus gifts from numerous sponsors of this program, including one from myself.
Remember, there is zero cost involved and this series is only available for a limited period of time. I know this program will offer you many eye-opening moments, so please do check it out - click the link below to join the investigation.
In honor of all of the spiritual teachers everywhere, I present the following article to you.
What Are the Qualifications and Requirements for Spiritual Teachers? by Gary Zalben
There is a period of psychological curiosity for seeking individuals searching for spiritual answers and we are told during this stage of development God sends them just ordinary teachers and spiritual books for addressing the awakening of these souls. What is the forecast for them in the future?
These are times of uncertainty and tremendous change. People are turning to yoga meditation and spirituality to find their own inner comfort. In the midst of a changing world, spirituality and yoga is more significant now for discovering one's own inner center and is moving further into society. The question is how do you find a spiritual teacher or the right house of worship?
When a spiritual teacher motivates a spiritual runaway to come back to God, that is considered the highest duty of human service there is to a fellow being. The Lord loves to see His children consciously search for Him, and is very pleased when a spiritual teacher influences them to come unto Him. To hear God speak through these souls, is to have masses of delusion taken away from the minds of the listeners.
Unfortunately that universal thief, delusion and ignorance has arrived to this earth to steal man's consciousness from God to make him forget the immortality of the soul, its joy and wisdom and cause him to feel mortal through the experience of death. There are false teachers who have falling prey to this delusion. Themselves victimized partner in this theft. Not knowing God they cannot pass on His realization to someone else; instead, in their own stupidity they not only obliterate their own would-be understanding, but that of their unfortunate followers as well.
Be wary of the hypocritical behavior of teachers, preachers and priests who demonstrate any style of prayer or preaching in an overstated demonstration of fervor before people attending worship to convince them of their spirituality and holiness to receive fame, praise, material or financial gain.
Self-elected or appointed soap box speakers can create emotional or intellectual upheavals in the thoughts of spectators and be sincerely persuasive, but they are unable to uplift and save souls; during their period of prayer halfhearted mental rambling brings neither an answer from God or the focused attention essential for economic success in these troubled times. Any one of them who uses holiness or religion for individual attainments, business or financial largess creates unto themselves a heavy judgment of misery and baneful bad karma.
Ministries are frequently built on the personalities of ministers, who are trained like actors to successfully drive home the lines of their theoretical orations. However, because of a lack of spirituality the emotional or intellectual rhetoric is also performed like socials and musical performances that causes a loss of interest from its members if they have not received any inner fulfillment or experience. Ministries can't compete nor should they try to do so with professional entertainment. Nor should churches try to attract class-conscious people with architectural grandeur from huge sums of money merely to be more then a place to be seen and see.
Congregational worship should emphasize interiorization, meditation (absorbing oneself in God) and stress the absence of mental restlessness, with an avoidance of scriptural recital, kneeling down and standing up, and other external rituals of the body. The presence of God appears when bodily motions cease and the mind becomes quite. The recitation of prayers and chants do some good, but keep the mind external and the effects remains limited without deep soulful prayers in the quite of solitude.
There are some teachers who know nothing about God and present to their congregation secondhand opinions amassed from hours spent scanning over scriptures and books. There is a hint to all ministers and preachers of the gospel. To commit to memory the language of the scriptures or be given a degree of Divinity is not enough. One must preach and digest truth with the conviction and power of the soul. But those who have little or nothing to do with God but espouse Him just from the pulpit, are the type described as "hypocrites." They seldom ever pray; they mostly read and simply preach what they've read that's why holy sermons create a vague devotion in the minds of people. Those in their congregation for the majority, let the invalidated orations go through one ear and out the other. To represent yourself as an authority on gems with no knowledge about gemology is a scam if you know nothing about gemology. Equally, to represent oneself as religiously and spiritually qualified is unprincipled if there has been no effort to commune with God.
When looking for a teacher the masters would require certain qualities and practices. Additionally, would add in the principles that include the following behavior. Sympathy, a teacher cannot transmit truth without being sympathetic; those seeking support from their problems need spiritual help to relieve them of their troubles and assist those in search of spiritual growth. He should be loyal and natural to his principles. He should never speak hurtful words or gossip about others or entertain revengeful thoughts by being angry against those who criticize him. Knowing the rules of etiquette and proper decorum are extremely favorable. He should never try to compete with other spiritual teachers and teach loyalty to that principle.
He should have a reverential qualified knowledge of religions, whereas being rooted in truth while understanding the differences between custom and real religion. He must be motivated by the inner awareness of truth to be able to transmit truth effectively. He should be well versed and believe in the truths he strives to teach while trying to realize them himself.
The most qualified teacher of spirituality is the intuitional teacher and once awakened by meditation does not have to depend on reason, he knows. A spiritual teacher that does not have self-realization should make a great effort for subversion of the ego and God attunement and meditate before instructing others, a much more valuable practice than formulating ideas from the opinions of others or books.
Religion, spirituality, or houses of worship should never be commercialized or used for personal gain. It is desirable that a teacher of spirituality not be given a salary. Once the teacher starts to accept money for doing God's work, it simply develops into a job; his thoughts will be on wanting more money and making a living, unlike the Christlike belief of serving God without the thoughts of compensation. I'm thinking about monastic teachers who renounce all for serving God. They must be free of burdens or obligations to give selflessly of themselves.
God channels his work through pure souls, these teachers need to be reminded that they must never appoint or desire themselves to be named "master." For those of you who are not sure of what that means, master by definition is one who is master of himself, not of others. He is the wise ruler and owner of his own actions with complete control of his senses. A real master has subdued his own ego and therefore neither displays or yearns for an illustrious title as his own. He who has not conquered his emotions and moods and is annoyed by life's numerous vexations and by allowing others to "get his goat" over a few words of irritation is a long way from declaring himself a master. A master can never be harmed in their spiritual aloofness in spite of what is denied to them.
Only a authentic follower or disciple who has experienced the disciplined spiritual practices of the sadhana, of a true master and who has cleansed his illusion-infected ego will make it to master. Masters will not ask their disciples to teach unless they are true from the past (previous incarnations). All great masters chose their disciples in the same way. The important requisites are a sincere readiness to listen, attunement and good karma.
When a soul is determined to find and know God, He sends him a spiritual master, illumined soul or guru, to help him to be free from his own karma. Only a true master who has no karma is able to take a portion of your cross on his back. If you follow one who has not realized God he can't take it, he is merely a school teacher. The book "Autobiography of a Yogi" by Paramahansa Yogananda, explains this in detail. You can also read it online.
The teacher is the one who gets the most out of the lessons, and the true teacher is the learner. --Elbert Hubbard

If you are unable to read this valuable source of metaphysical information, you may wish to simply read the following excerpt at this time.
We as Co-creators (with God) by Ian Gardner Source:The Milk is White
Observing, from a detached position, the world of matter that we enter as human beings i.e. the universe or universal 'plane', one sees how we, as souls, create our lives and experiences. Through the law of cause and effect we constantly create our future, individually and collectively, immediate and long term, by our thoughts, actions and attitudes. This future includes our bodies, social environment, ecological environment, mental state, medical state and manner of death.
Perhaps, in creating the Virtual Reality we presently create via computers we are subconsciously expressing this co-creativity through the conscious mind and technology. Virtual Reality seems almost real and technology will, no doubt, improve on this in time. We seem to experience what we create in this Virtual Reality. This is, of course, an illusion but an experience nevertheless.
So it is from the standpoint of the soul which, after the death of the body 'sees' and experiences, in this case with absolute clarity, the experiences of the last life as one sees and experiences the events in a play or film, that is with detachment, losing nothing as a result of this detachment. One 'sees' not only one's own contribution to the scenario but the impact of that contribution on everything and everyone else.
During a life, we, as a soul, experience the events that occur in the same detached manner as after the body dies despite the person feeling and experiencing these with the full impact of the senses. In this, the more detached the state of being of the soul/person (the entity) the less the experiences attach as 'baggage' to the subconscious to become an encumbrance later. This is because the life/lives we take on in this plane, and this plane itself, are not really what they seem; they are an illusion, or dreamlike, and not true reality. The only true reality is our state of being when we were created - our god state.
When we are dreaming, what occurs is very, very real as we all know and yet, on awakening, we dismiss the event as just a dream. However, the euphoria or horror of the dream is 'real' enough to remain with us for a variable period. When we are awake everything is very real too. Which is the true reality?
When we leave our body our life here becomes the 'dream' and where we then are becomes the reality.
When we reach full enlightenment, Christhood or full realisation, call it what we will, that is the only reality, and there is no dream of any sort.
From our physical mindset, therefore, we create both the dream 'reality' and the virtual 'reality' with the latter more approximating the reality of the former when technology is refined. In the manner in which the dream and the technologically created 'reality' are similar but not the same so is the similarity between "life in the physical" and our existence when not in the physical.
In constantly creating our future we create, as part of that future, the state of the health of our bodies.
This happens through our attachment to our experiences in life, and the greater the attachment the greater the effect on the body. In other words, the more the 'baggage' the more the adverse effect on the health of the body and the mind, and it must be remembered that this 'baggage' may come from more than one life. 'Baggage' is attached to the mind that is not an integral part of the Self but only something acquired along the way, and the mind, from the Thought Field, through the Life Field creates the dis-ease in the latter, which in turn creates disease, and illness in the physical body.
Conversely, altering the state of the mind by getting rid of 'baggage' and not taking on more, by being non-attached, dis-ease and its consequences cease to be. Of course, total detachment, total subduing of the mind, results in full enlightenment and, when we achieve this the necessity to enter this plane no longer exists.
Faced with any situation in life we are presented with options, from these options, depending on our attitudes and thoughts, we make a choice; if this choice creates stress this stress creates one or more of the following: a reduction in the efficiency of the immune system, headaches, muscular tension resulting in pain, digestive problems and so on. The possibilities are endless. Similarly, hate, sustained anger, an imbalance between work, relaxation and play etc. adversely affect mind and body.
To further illustrate the point of creating our own future we can take the simple situation where we, say, slap someone and get slapped in return; or where deforestation is followed by floods and landslides. This is 'instant karma' and, perhaps more easily understood than effects that take longer to manifest. The active principle is the same.

A WESTERN SYSTEM OF MEDITATION AND RELAXATION FOR THE WESTERN MIND DEVISED BY GEORGE HALL Ph D. L1.D
Meditation, has never attracted as much notice in the West as it is attracting today. In the East it has long been a part of the way of life since time immemorial. Perhaps the turmoil in the minds of many Western people today is the cause of the attraction. Many are seeking a way out of their turmoil, what they need is not a way out but a way into peace and immeasurable power. This they can have in the Western way.
Meditation in various forms from deepest silence through a reaching out by prayer, through becoming one with the Infinite, as an escape from the physical confines of a tense body moving in a tenser world has always been sought by those who were seeking enlightenment.
They should have realized that the way of enlightenment could not be reached by a Mind or Body that was tense.
It is this search for enlightenment that has justified meditation, but (and this is a very important but) it must not be used simply as an escape from the tense body trying to contend with the tensions that arise from the almost frenzied seeking for something that they desire but do not have, and thereby enmesh themselves in the reactions many people are enmeshed in.
The purpose of true meditation is not seeking the jewel in the heart of the lotus, but identifying oneself with the ALL that lies behind the personal mental- /physical prison wall which most humans allow to be formulated around them, thus shutting themselves off from the true source of all power, all peace, all love, all wisdom shutting themselves away from the true stream of Infinite Consciousness which is the gateway to the Undifferentiated Energy Source.
U.E.S. is the code term used to designate this fully recognised supreme source of energy that now concerns both the Philosophers and the Scientists who, having harnessed the electron, ( one manifestation of U.E.S.) are prepared to see if mankind has a link to that source which will lift him to the plane of the Cherubim and Seraphim.
The use of these two terms does not imply that the degree of perfection attainable by mankind is limited to that of the Cherubim, the second highest rank, but that the rank will do to start with.
Ultimately we should ascend to the rank of a seraph. The serious person who does not know what a seraph is assumed to be should look up the term in one of the better dictionaries.
We humans all belong to the order of the angels, only some fail to act like it! Through meditation they will attain that realization. What must be understood is that humans have a mental capacity that has evolved in the table of existence.
Some feel that meditation helps that evolution.
Some realize that a tense human blocks evolution. They are right, for human and spiritual evolution depends upon relaxed thinking and relaxed doing. Consequently it appears that the unlocking of tensions is a part of the preparation for true meditation.
Can a Western consciousness secure that unlocking by a simple vocal and mental attainment, a man- tram, a psalm or a phrase of music? It is unlikely because this Western consciousness must have conviction. Much more is required.
What is needed is to remove the constant questioning that goes on in most Western minds.
Facts are not so easily accepted by faith, in fact lack of faith is our weakest point. So, the approach must be a more studied one. One commences the meditation in the knowledge that what one is doing is a matter of TRUTH. Then 'The Way' will be easier to follow.
There is no need to make a great division between a Western and an Eastern consciousness but it is essential to know that there is such a division. Perhaps it is best stated by saying that the cultures of the East are much older, more settled, deeper and more inscrutable than is our Western culture.
Mentally speaking, the depth, breath and possibilities of a culture rules what a human is and can do, it rules the capacity to dissolve barriers and to ascend peaks.
Those concerned with the mental well-being of people know that barriers have to be dissolved before peaks can be ascended, that the richness available to humans cannot be realized until the barriers no longer exist. It was to find a way to dissolve and totally eliminate such barriers that ultimately led to the formulation of the Human Cybernetic System.
It was realised that the highest ultimate state of being could not be attained without that there was freedom from tensions and a use of intuitive faculties and that these were both psychological in nature and should be dealt with as such. This was and is Western thinking. We realize that the barriers exist, that they are of human making and that human building cannot be total in their presence. It is for this reason that we speak of a Western System of Meditation being required to meet Western needs and suggest that the highest effectiveness cannot be attained by just following age old Eastern customs.
Our Eastern friends must not feel that this is in any way a form of discrimination, nor is it racialism, but it does look at the facts. We are indebted to the East for so much, but we are born of Western blood in a different mold than our brothers and sisters from older cultures and must think out our own pathway to 'The Way'. Meditation requires the coordination of the whole mental mechanism. That is both the nonphysical mind and the intensely physical brain and central nervous system. These two, working in unison form the bridge between the Infinite Consciousness- which as previously mentioned we scientifically designate as U.E.S. and the sensory consciousness within the physical perception of man which is in the realm of the psychologist.
Because the, Western mind, governed as it is by cultures of only a few thousand years, is still in the questioning stage (in comparison to the Oriental mind with many thousands of years of established culture as its background) it erects a natural barrier to an infinite flow that it cannot measure or fully understand. The Eastern mind does not have that barrier. The jewel in the heart of the lotus can be accepted in the rhythm of a mantram, thus it opens the channel. Unconsciously, the Western mind says 'What jewel? What is it like? Where is its heart? What is its function?' Not in words of course but from that something that arises in the mind and presents a series of keys each of which must be turned correctly. These keys are turned by serious thought about the answers to these four automatic questions. For this reason, adopting an unusual posture, which has to be learned, becomes a barrier between the self and the Infinite. That barrier is forged in Western minds by the sheer physical effort necessary to adopt a posture that is unusual. Strangely it is easier to fall on one's knees (an attitude of supplication) because for two thousand years we Western people have engaged in prayer as our method of contacting the sublime in prayer as our method of union with the Supreme. The Easterner is mentally geared to open the channel much more easily than Western people.
Having said this, what advice is given to the Westerner who would seek to meditate as a method of contacting the sublime, because people of the East and those of the West instinctively seek the Intuitive? Prayer and meditation both have the same end purpose. The best advice on this point was given by a Mid-Eastern teacher whose thinking has dominated the West.
She said: `Enter thy closet and shut the door.'
That is what Western people must do if they would meditate.
Is there a physical door?
Can we actually locate it in the human anatomy?
Strangely there is, and we can locate it, it is the pathway of the nerves. When they are tense and jangled the door of the senses may not be closed. They remain open to physical sounds and distractions. The mind cannot centre on the innerness that is essential. Until the door is closed the sweet flow of the Infinite Presence cannot be felt.
The fruits of meditation must be not only mentally realised but also physically felt.
The Infinite Presence can mentally and physically be felt as warmth that steals over the entire being, invades every cell, every neuron, bringing something that is not finite but is real, to lift up the deepest nature of the person concerned.
For this reason we link the act of meditation to the art of relaxation. They are the two parts of one totally complete experience.
Those who have studied Human Cybernetics will recall that in the last two of the Ten Foundational Needs, the use of the Intuitional Faculties and the Need for Total Relaxation of the Brain and Central Nervous System is noted. The former is what we seek in meditation, but in an unspoken seeking. The latter is the preparation of the channel or pathway that the intuitional facilities (the Power Immeasurable) uses to enter into the consciousness of one person.
Turning to the total structure of the personality we find in part sixty-six of the Human Cybernetic System (a very significant number) the State of Applied Freedom consisting of two p-factors, Freedom from Tension and Freedom from Barriers.
These two points make clear that meditation has a prerequisite if one is to attain what is truly attainable providing one follows the exact pattern. Relax then, all of the nerves and all of the brain. Relax every neuron from which the tissues of the Brain and Central Nervous System are formed. Thus we attain Freedom from Tensions.
Then comes Freedom from Barriers. Without this one cannot enter into the closet and there shut the door, and in so doing enter into the sublime. Think for a moment how can one do so if the mind is concerned with angry thoughts, is gurgling with unforgiveness, avariciousness, lust, hate, envy, jealousy, fear, confusion, doubt and all the negativity they will breed in the chambers of the mind, filtering through to impede the channels of communication between a world that is finite and one that is infinite. In meditation we enter the infinite world. Negative impulses, in their many degrees, are the barriers one must be free from, and it is in this regard that fundamental mental practices taught in Human Cybernetics play a vital role in the life of one who would use meditation as the 'open door' to totality of experience. It plays that part because a person who is expressing every one of the Seventy-Seven Essential Points becomes wholly positive and therefore dissolves the negative state. In doing so the barriers are eliminated.
So the Western way of meditation starts by releasing tensions, dissolving negatives, freeing the self from barriers and eliminating the effect of tensions and thus one may shut the door, and the closet becomes a temple, a temple of light, of power, of love and fulfillment.
Accepting this, how does one proceed?
The answer is simple. 'Be still and wait.'
Of course stillness cannot be total unless one's tensions are relaxed and in early stages this is a psychological-physical process, knowing that thought waves, mental commands, will remove tensions for a little while. Later, as a result of practice they will be relaxed for longer periods.
Eventually mental commands will need to be less specific, dissolving into the one command 'Brain and Nerves relax'. Note, here we are concerned only with the effect of relaxation on the meditative purpose and concerned only with the entry AFFERENTLY of the outer U.E.S.
IMPULSES and their EFFERENT journey over nerves now peaceful, so they become inner impulses registering on the physical being of the person concerned.
So the brain and the nerves are called upon to relax. The order is simple. It follows the divine anatomical pattern until the last nerve filament has given up its tensions. Then, and only then, can they conduct the reality of this UNDIFFERENTIATED ENERGY to the last cell of physical tissue until both whole mind and entire body are infused with what the mystics called 'The Presence'.
It is that Presence that mankind needs to enable humans to function with infinite intelligence and power when dealing with purely mental and physical needs, to be able to achieve this is a great art, one of the principle fruits of meditation.
Therefore the process of relaxation of the brain and nervous system is taught. Once learnt it becomes a simple matter to maintain the Constant Freedom sought in the second State of Mind of the Personality Syndrome.
Then the fullness of Contemplation, Concentration, Imagination and Visualisation can be enjoyed and the mental mechanism helped to function as it was ordained to function. If it fails to do so, the individual life and its contribution to family, social and corporate life is lessened.
The mental mechanism can though be schooled through this method to function at its highest and cause the contribution of any human on the planet to be immense.
Often one who seeks to meditate asks: 'What should I seek? What should I ask for? How should I ask?'
The answer is simple NOTHING nothing except to enter the state of receptiveness.
Seek first the wholeness and whatever part of that wholeness you stand in need of shall be made available to you.
This is the 'Infinite Way'.
There is a particular approach to it for Eastern minds disciplined by countless years of culture, there is also a particular way for the Western mind, still struggling to relate itself to timelessness in a world yet unable to comprehend the timely exactitude of the Sun, the Moon, the Planets and all of the heavenly bodies that now have had manmade objects thrust into their path and subsequently absorb them in the timely nature of space.
Man's exploits in space have solved many of the questions for which an answer was needed.
More than anything else it has proved that there is timelessness far beyond that which we ever thought possible.
The same power which regulates the heavenly bodies can regulate a human. It is that power we reach out for in meditation.
Humans must learn that time does not stand still that the human mind needs to understand, accept and absorb the fact that there is a power immeasurable. This immeasurable power can play a part in the finer fulfillment of the human mind. It can become a part of human consciousness and be transmuted so its perfection is reflected in human actions.
When this is enacted by Western minds using entirely Western approaches, then the fruits of meditation will be available to Western lives.

Thanks be for doubt that ends with brighter light, Thanks be for grief that lends great faith to life, Bloomed not the barren ground spring was afar, But when the sun went down behold, there shone a star.

The full process for total relaxation follows
THE RELAXATION PROCESS OF THE BRAIN & CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM
This is an essential exercise for anyone who would secure the best results from meditation.
Sit comfortably in a chair. Do not lie down. Place feet firmly on floor. Sit upright, NOT leaning against the chair-back.
Breathe deeply for a few moments to establish a simple breathing rhythm, taking in deep breaths, holding the breath for a few moments and then slowly exhaling ALL the air from the lungs.
Then focus your thought on each part of the brain and central nervous system one at a time.
Visualise those parts letting go of all tension.
Follow this system exactly:
BRAIN relax BRAIN relax BRAIN R-e-l-a-x Say it slowly, drawing out the word 'relax'.
Then proceed to the next part of the system in this order:
BRAIN FORE-BRAIN Fore-Brain relax Fore-Brain relax Fore-Brain R-e-l-a-x Say it slowly, drawing out the word 'relax'.

About the Author
Malcolm Milligan is the author of 'Your Destiny Course' which is the distilled essence of the life work of Doctor George Hall, who crafted Applied Human Cybernetics in the early 1970's. George was a leading light in the New Thought movement and Malcolm was blessed to become a student of the late Doctor Hall in 1975 and has preserved recordings of a series of workshops which George was asked to lead for Malcolm and some of his colleagues in Manchester.
Bringing the power for all that is good and the immense positive impact of Applied Human Cybernetics back into the conscious understanding of the new Cyber World Society is the fulfilment of Malcolm's main mission for the past few years. Malcolm regards himself as no more than a messenger entrusted with the task of safely delivering Dr. Hall's life work into the 21st Century.
Dr. Hall was one of a group of popular lecturers who took the message of an accessible psychological way of life to huge audiences between 1920 and 1939.
Early in the 1960's Dr. Hall became associated with Dr. Maxwell Maltz and it was he who introduced Psycho-cybernetics to the United Kingdom on behalf of Dr. Maltz, teaching the subject to a large number of audiences. Whilst engaged in this work Dr. Hall concluded his personal research after developing methods of psychological training for various grades of Industry and Commerce.
The result was his stunning Applied Human Cybernetics which was first launched early in the 1970's.
It was a great loss to the world of practical and applied psychology well as the growing field of personal development when Dr. Hall passed during the 1980's.
However with the re launch of Applied Human Cybernetics as an online self paced personal transformation system presently entitled 'Your Destiny Course', available at www.egouniversity.com. Moodle is used as the delivery platform, it is the fervent hope of Malcolm and colleagues that this Blueprint for a happy successful and fulfilled life will ensure that Dr. Hall's life work does not wither and die on the vine.
I hope you found this issue useful to you on your journey of self-discovery.
