I just wanted to Thank You on your FAQ section for the alternative religions. I am a Pagan. And I really do appreciate your effort for opening up to more views.

THANK YOU! I did my heart good to see someone else trying to get our views across instead of trying to deal with the close minds by ourselves.

Oh, And yes for those who are true practitioners, We just want to be accepted. And those who push theirs should really be questioned as to why they feel the need to do it.

Helping is one thing, shoving is quite another. But you know as well as I fear of the unknown or what you really do not want to know can be a very strong and driving force.

Again Thank you and Blessings to you,

Jean

Hello again, Amy -

I just felt compelled to send a quick thank you and let you know how much I appreciate your services. It means so much to me that after years of solitary worship, some sort of recognition has been given to my spiritual path. It's great to have access to such an organized and friendly resource.

Truly,

Amy,

Thank you very much for the personal response! I received an automatic email
from the reply center, but never expected one from you. It was a very kind
gesture, and I greatly appreciate it. At first, I was unsure as to who exactly you were; that is, until I stumbled across my copy of The Ultimate Wedding/Ceremony Workbook. When I realized you were the author, I was shocked, to put it mildly. Because I specialize in unconventional weddings, my duties as a minister are often relied upon in a very sporadic and (on occasion) spur of the moment manner. Your book has literally been an indispensable resource for both myself and the couples I've joined. Without it, I don't think I'd have been able to perform half the weddings I have. I can't thank you enough, but I suppose a simple email is a start.

Once again, thank you.

Will Jayne

Hi Amy,

Subject: LIVE NEWS

This column is one of the best "benefits" of ULC. We are living in a WORLD that few people pay any attention too. Every chance I get, I'll read these. I'm sure that it is NOT an easy project to keep going but it IS very worthwhile.

Thank you for your wonderful web site. It has been many years since I have been active in organized religion. My views don't always fit in with the people I grew up with. I live in a small town in Texas that is very Baptist and very conservative. It has always bothered me how judgmental people can be. Most churches around here are money grubbing institutions. Finding your church online has been an inspiration to me. You did not know it but you have answered my prayers. Your ministries have given me guidance, and I am looking forward your future sermons. I am not sure if I am ready to be ordained yet, but God will let me know when it is time. Your ministries are universal in acceptance and that is refreshing in these troubled times. Thank you for sharing Gods love and hope with me.

Hello Amy!!

I was ordained on November 1, 2003. I performed my first marriage ceremony today.

It was a really awesome experience to perform the wedding. Made me sure that
I had made the right decision by becoming ordained. To be able to do
something like this for a couple is really SPIRITUAL! I was so proud to help
this couple obtain the goal of becoming one person under God. Your tape was
invaluable to me. It gave me the direction I needed to accomplish this!

I just wanted to thank you and the members of your church for providing a wonderful opportunity for others to celebrate their ordination.

May God bless you!

Rev. Amy,

I have been a ULC minister for about a year now. I just had my first big formal church ceremony. Your books helped me so very much...I would have never made it with out your help and guidance. I have received nothing but raves all weekend about how wonderful the service was.

Of course I have to give all of the credit to you. You did all of the work for me.

Thank you so very, very much. There is a very happy young bride and groom on a honeymoon today.

Without your books, I would have never had such success.

Respectfully,

Hi, Amy -

As you know from my previous message, I did finally receive the materials I ordered last summer. Thanks to you, it looks like I'll be totally prepared for the wedding I've been asked to officiate next month. You rule!

I may also have mentioned that I'm actually getting married myself. Well, not TO myself...I'm taking a lovely lady named Leslie as my bride on March 20th in Tucson. So, you see, I was doubly happy to finally be in possession of The Ultimate Wedding Workbook. Imagine my surprise when I realized that it was none other than YOU who authored this great book!

We've been busy using all the checklists that apply to our little ceremony, and we just love your sense of humor. Well done!

Thanks!

Steve

Thank you Amy.

I have one more small question and I do appreciate your time and courtesy.

I was ordained under Daniel's site. Is my ordination to the ULC good with your church as well? If not I can always ordain under your site as I like your church better.

You have a "tighter" site and your support for new ministers is very good as well.

Thanks again,
Ryan

(Answer: Thanks! Yes, your ordination is good here as well. Welcome! --Amy)

Amy,

I appreciate the rapid response; I like to know my inquiries are taken seriously. Your reply was greatly informative and that means lot to me, in todays' world of single sentence replies and lack of detail.

I was glad to find out you were already on top of the situation.

I am proud ot be a member of the ULC and hold my title seriously. It is reassuring to know that I am not alone in that endevour :) Keep up the good work.

Amy,

Thanks for all the info! I really appreciate it!

Also, I know it sounds corny - But I really feel as though I finally have a direction in life. At forty, I am finally figuring out what I want to be now that I am a grown up! Thank you so much for the ULC! You all have brought me satisfaction in my life!

Brightest Blessings to You, Amy, and the rest of the ULC family!

Dear Amy,

I am so very happy to have found the church. My life needs direction and the lord has always been there for me. I never really knew what my place in the world was. Every night I would pray that the lord would guide me in the right path. I tried to find my faith in others and found that that just lead me down the wrong road. I pray that I may now find the path I've been looking for all my life. I love to help others I think that's why I became a CMA, to try and better myself by helping others. The same is true of my work as an instructor for Skiing and snowboarding, to see the light in other that I have helped. Now I have a chance to help others find the faith I found in God. My faith was never something that I had to ask for.

All I ever had to do was listen to my heart and I knew that God was there with me. My life was never easy, from run ins with the law to drugs. I was always searching for the answer to life. I wasn't till I need a miracle in my life that I started to listen and really find God in me. I hope to not preach but guide other as they learn to listen to there hearts as I have. I pray that I my do what is asked of me to the best of my abilities. I found your site by chance, and know in my heart it was the whisper from God i've been waiting for.

Thank You,
Rev. Shawn Mahoney C.M.A

Hi,

I just received my Instant Ministry set. VERY Nice! You should rename this to the Minister's Enablement Package, because this provides everything needed to roll up the sleeves and get down to business.

Thanks again for the fast service. You sure make it easy for me to focus on my duties as a Minister and servant to my community rather than wasting time reinventing the wheel.

Dear Rev. Amy.

I really enjoy your site. You provide much more information and and it is easy to navigate through than others. I have been a ULC minister for almost 5 yrs. and ULC has afforded me opportunity to do some things that I would not have been able to do, so Thank You to ULC and to others like yourself for accepting those of us who do not fit into mainstream religion.

May God the Creator, the Great Sprit Bless You,

Amy,

Your site is wonderful! It's time that ULC had a seminary. I was talking to Andre Hensley and mentioned to him that it would be a good idea to have a place where others can come and be educated on the different faiths and traditions there are. He agree, of course.

Thanks, Amy. Again, GREAT SITE!

Dear Amy,

My name is James A. Santilena. I want to thank you for the wonderful materials you sent me at the time of my ordination. I became a minister at the request of my niece who asked me to perform the ceremony at her wedding - never thinking I would do anything else with it. However, after the wedding, others have asked me to preside over various functions, including a funeral. The kit you sent me allowed me to preside effectively and with confidence at these functions.

Thank you very much. With your help, my life has been enriched.

Reverend Amy Long,

I honestly do not mean to continually hound you by email, but I have just received the Doctor of Divinity degree I ordered from you. I was awe-stricken when I took it out of the envelope. It is very beautiful and professional, a perfect symbol for its meaning. Even more, I have spent the last ten years of my life in complete devotion and study of the things of Eternity, and have risen to phenomenal spiritual heights thereby. Although Quest ministries and the ULC Seminary have awarded me this Degree, I have been granted it by my own struggling and endurance. It wasonly at this moment that I was spiritually and psychologically able to order it and officiate my standing through you.

Thank you.

Just have to let you know you are a wonderful person and as soon as I get home tonight or tomorrow sometime I will try somehow to get that onto my site that is so cool what you are doing. If no one has said this then I will.

You are doing a great job in creating a site that brings so much insight to the minister of ULC and the work they do no matter where they are in the world and no matter who they are.
Thank you Rev. Amy Long for all the fantastic work you are doing for all of us to keep our churches going and our ministries whether they be in buildings, internet, or even just in our hearts, you and the many volunteers assist us but especially you sweetie for what you do. WOW!!!!!!!!!!! I don't think even Wow is enough for what you and your family do.
Thank you.

Rev. Long,

I just wanted to comment that I really appreciate how nicely your website is
and the newsletter. I've vision problems and the use of colors helps me tremendously in picking out where I want to go from all the little letters I see. :)

The marriage laws FAQ is very handy. I was just asked to officiate two close friends' wedding and it's nice to know I don't have to register
with the county (Cobb County, Georgia)...

Thank you for all the information and help.

Respectfully,
Rev. Sean Dennis

Greetings Amy,

I am not quite half-way through Spirit Quest, which I have found very
interesting and useful in my everyday life. I am pleased with my
affiliation with ULC and look forward to a life long, fulfilling
relationsip. I have registered myself to practice in the State of
Minnesota and am in the process of establishing a healing practice as
well. My spiritual life has been on a rapid rise to awareness during
the last two plus years full of wondrous as well as unnerving
experiences. Being a part of the ULC Ministry is definitely one of the
best things that I have done. I have visited and posted on the forum
for Spirit Quest, and visit as often as time allows. I appreciate your
communications.

May the Angels be with you,
Rev. Ford Jun Taketa

My first wedding went extremely well! Many people came up to me telling me that it was the best wedding service that they had been too and both the bride and groom were touched. I myself was really touched, as honestly it was one of the best experiences that I've had thanks to the ULC!

Spirit-Quest Course

Amy,

I wanted to talk to you. I am taking classes with the ULC. This last weeks' message really hit the spot. You talked about your cancer
and how you worked through it. I don't have cancer (that I know about), but, I have had a life long problem that many people have and it's with my weight. It is a lesson I have not learned even though I have lost hundreds of pounds several times this lifetime. These lessens are helping me so much. Sometimes I think that these lessens are just for me. Bless you for classes, I love them, I hate them and I thing they are wonderful. I have found things inside me that I had no idea were there! I
truly am taking the right classes at the right time in my life.

Thank you,
thank you,

Dear ULC Staff;

I want to thank you so much for sending me the news letter on forgiveness. I did the steps it contained that were pertinent and I feel 1000 times better. An unbearable pain was reduced to practically nothing.

While doing the exercise(s) I realized my pain was not pain, but a lack of forgiveness.

Thanks again so much. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my chest.

With love and respect and tears of joy, not pain,

Alan

Amy,

I want to compliment you on the wedding materials. I found it so easy to pull of an amazing wedding. Several guests said it was the most personal wedding they had ever been to and they could see why they had asked me to perform it. (It was my first one!) Yes I have been a bride twice so I had some good insider tips but it was your book that made it all look so easy.

Thank you for your advice and support.

Amy, thanks for the chance (and support) to take some classes. I don't do much on the computer, and did not realize all that I could learn through ULC. I look forward to the coming information. Love your sample on Forgiveness. This can be a scary topic, which we tend to avoid. It is so-o-o important to our health and well-being that we forgive. Thanks for the chance to learn more about it.

Angel Blessings, Linda
2005-07-06
AMY,
Nice to hear about new site. There is NO reason,at all, to have any fears about changes at ULC. A few weeks ago, I got the sample lesson on Forgiveness. This topic is unique and extremely useful in talking to folks no matter where they are in their lives. Even in my ministry as Volunteer Chaplain at our Hospice, there is a need to understand forgiveness.
A retired High School teacher in a Sunday School Class was complaining about issues he had with local school board. He was losing sleep about it and routinely getting red faced talking about it. I asked him who was "doing this" to you? His answer,"The board." No friend, you were allowing urself to do it to urself.
As our organized religions are becoming more and more polarized, the future of ULC looks very bright.
Regards,
Rev Roger W Tinkham

I am so grateful for all the work you do. I have grown so much in this ministry, helping people to know God, to learn about Spirit and to know they have talents and gifts to share. And, when I meet two people who are truly in love, and I have the opportunity to seal that love in Holy Matrimony, it is the most exhilarating thing in the world. Again, thank you Amy.
Sincerely,

Hi Amy,

I thought signing up for two courses would be a breeze?????

In order to get a full meaning behind each mail one should read than read what was read. I have been doing this and find myself deep in emails to read.

I fully recommend the course that I am taking whether it be for vocational or avocation.

Can't seem to find enough words to project my feelings on the material that I have read to date.

Liked the missive on re-incarnation. From a purely Science related view -- in Physics for every action there is an equal and opposite re-action.

Therefore if all life ends in death - all death must end with life again.

A little food for thought from a non-bible based ULC minister.

Hello Amy.

I am taking the Spirit Quest course and the course in Wicca. I am having an wonderful
time with the Seminary courses. There is always so much to learn. I am thankful that my courses {ULC seminary} have brought me into a complimentary learning that supports my own beliefs. I will take more courses at ULC seminary.

RE: Lesson 4 of the Awareness Course:

Hello, and thank you for this lesson, extremely inspirational. The centering, Hara was an eye opener toward reasonings of dwindling spiritual presence in state of existance within my own body. As in the fact of "sometimes being to busy to remember everything, and forgetting the most important actions in life," are standing reasons of others taking a microphone in this case Email - with explainations from our higher sources saying stop, re energize re member, re port back each day - just let the spirit flow through the body. Thank you for this lesson your reminder was perfect timing,,,,,,,Pamela

hi amy,

Thank you so much for the memorial service for a child that you sent me. I was able to take parts from it, and the prayer, as well as parts from your little black book, and create an appropriate and moving ceremony for my little 9-day old.

I appreciate your getting back to me and your willingness to help.

I am very excited about adding memorial services to my business. I love this work so much, and feel I have a true gift for it.

I always wondered how God would choose to use my dramatic temperment in a positive way, and finally I have discovered my path.

Thank you for all your books and cd and video. You have assisted me tremendously in getting started.

Thank you again, and I look forward to meeting you one of these years. Bless you. -- Rev. Karen

By the way, the Comparative Religions course is wonderful. The text and discussion are very interesting and informative. But, the real "power" of the course for me is the abundnt links that are provided for further research and clarity. I am looking forward to taking quite a few more courses through the seminary.

Hi Elizabeth and Amy,
This sample you sent is the anwser to how I put all the facts together and help others find the same anwser to the many questions that are asked when trying to heal others and that is healing are selfs first so we may help those that ask for the help. This course about energy is what I have been asking myself about. I know that I am but the tool that helps others to help them self to heal. Of course this is good at teaching that we can just give so much and that the rest is up to the person who is getting the healing. So thank you. I do injoy others insight on life. Love and Light be with you both.

Hi Loretta,
I just would like to express my gratitude to you for all the knowledge that you have been giving me. The funny thing is that it has always been there but with all the fear base things that I have taken on and was not letting go of block me from myself. and the fun I use to have. Now I go out to have fun and what others say or do doesn't matter as much as it use to. I get up feeling better and even when the body is a little slow that is ok too. I am healing myself by being a part of the good things in life and when the not so good come along I have choices to change or just let it happen. The hardest part is not too take it on and carry all the neg. in to the body, but releasing is part of the trade. Seeing it for what it is has help me in so many ways. So again thank you for your gift.

Amy,

Thank you so much for all the samples. I have a file going. I think I even know which course I want to take next. I am presently in the middle of Spirit Quest. As much as I knew going in, you have given me as much and more in this course so far. Today in my travels (errands), I think I make about 5 new grounding cords, and blew up as many roses. LOVE your techniques, and the way you present your ideas. I especially love your little affirmation in each one that says,

Amy,
Thanks for sending me the information on the different courses that are offered. They are a great help. I have a whole list of want-to's. This time of year it seems, is renewal time for my yoga stuff, and many courses are being offered from different places. I actually have so many things to choose from it is distracting. No matter what we do, I believe we continue to grow and learn. I have the printouts from the samples you sent me. I do want to take several of the courses, but this does not seem like the right time for me. It is interesting that as much as I call myself an energy worker and yoga teacher, the sample on being a preacher was very interesting. I realized that in my yoga classes that is what I do. And when people ask me about the energy I emit from my hands, that is what I do. I expound on the power of God, the Universal Source, where we get all that we need. I had never seen myself at all similar to a priest or preacher who stands at a lecturn, but I am. Same message. Believe! Thanks again for the samples, and don't give up on me. I WILL do something. Divine timing I guess. You emails are terrific. Thanks for staying in touch. I had never imagined that I would learn so much from an "on-line" church. I guess a church is where your heart is, and yours is sure in the right place!

Amy,

I'm enjoying my classes a great deal. I just finished the Master of Buddhist Studies and have to write my final essay. It was a very informative class and enlightened my understanding on Buddhism. I have a few classes left for Comparative Religion. This is one of the most interesting courses I've taken. I could take other classes that go into such detail. There was so much information, pictures, and extra recourses. This is a definite class for everyone who is going to be a minister. I just received my fifth discourse in Spirit Quest. I choose this course and my Wicca (received 1 lesson) course from your sample seminary courses. When I finish the Comparative Religion course, I'm thinking of taking either the Four Gospels or the Master of Religion course. I've had great teachers and I enjoy learning! Amy your work at the Seminary is much appreciated. Thank you for offering so many great classes.

I still need to learn how to get on the forum and use it frequently. So that is my next project.

Congratulations on the beautiful web site & the idea finally of a ULC seminary.
You may remember me as one of the contributors to the book-'Weddings, Funerals and Rites of Passage' - I am Rabbi David Roller.

I would be glad to help with the seminary with help on Judaism, weddings, interfaith work or where ever I can be of help.

My ordination with ULC is from the old days 1971 and my rabbinic ordination is from 1980
So- wherever I can help- I will be glad to participate- but in any case- all the best with the site & may you grow from strength to strength.

Dear Amy,

First of all, thank you for your beautiful site and work. Your explanations about ULC and the other prominent websites were so simple, clear, straightforward and in such integrity. It was a pleasure for me
to find your website. I have been a ULC minister for about 10 years and got very discouraged with what seemed to be happening to the ULC which I feel is such an important church.

Thank you!

I wanted to comment on the lessons so far.
far. I feel the course is thus far, well worded and is broken up very nicely for those that may be just learning to do these things. Kind of like a meditation kindergarden.

When I learned to ground and run energy all sorts of interesting things happened. My first being with the grounding cord. I was so concerned with the asteral, and always so "flighty". When I grounded for the very first time I felt like I was falling fast then became very heavily weighted down. This sensation lasted for a little while and then evened out. It was a little scary but can't imagine how I wondered around the way I had been. That was the end of me being known as an "airhead".

Thank you for letting me express my thoughts and I leave you my blessings and thanks for the hard work.

Dear Amy:

Thank you so much for the good job you are doing on the newsletters and so on. I appreciate so much receiving the information. You never hear from me and for all you know, I and people like me who never let you know anything may just as well be deleting your e-mails without reading them.

So I just wanted to let you know that I do read them and I am glad to receive them. I am a full time substance abuse counselor and to be honest with you, I don't "do" anything directly involved with my being an ordained ULC minister. Still, it means a lot to me to be ordained, I love the ULC philosophy, and I hope to take one of the classes one of these days.

Thanks again for all your hard work.

Hi Amy

I just wanted to let you know that I really like the Spirit Quest work I am doing. I find that if I don't all ways have the time to practice I think about it instead. Thankfully I have done a bit of meditation in my life and understand how to get there and that helps a lot. But I just wanted you to know that I am enjoying it and working it as best I can.

I have at least registered for the forum but have not had the time to go there.

thanks

Hello,
My name is Reverend Willis. I joined the ULC because I wanted to make my quest to seek out the quiestions I had about life official. Since joining I have been researching all types of religions and have taken the title of minister quite seriously. The powers we give to established religion are very great, and some religions seem to lack the core essentials that the ULC is based on. The ULC has linked me to many great philosophies that can overlap to almost every religion out there. I don't have to bow my head to any priest or Pope, but I can take their advise. I have found great links to things like Sufi Dances of Universal Peace and great ideas for weddings or religious ceremonies. I just thought I would mention a little bit out of appreciation for everything the ULC represents. Why should all the tax breaks go to the religions that are already established? I have hopes of creating a church that can focus on guided meditations, positive sermons and an overall sanctuary for anyone who needs some positive energy. The ULC makes everything very simple. I really appreciate the newsletters and this idea about posting ministers online seems very exciting. Please send me any info. you think I would enjoy, and feel free to ask me anything you like!

I am more than half way through the Metaphysics and Miracles course at present and intend to continue with all (or most, or many) of the other courses as I go along. This is my first course with ULC. I don't know which one I'll do next. I intend to look at the samples you have sent and I have saved, and select one of them. I am leaning toward the new course Master of Religious Philosophy or (and ?) Comparative Religion. Soon....

I am nourished by the course I am taking. I expect to be nourished by more classes as I go along.

Dear Amy Long,

You have always tried to promote something dear to my heart, people finding God for themselves, so that they find truth that is not imparted by a man, or a book, but that is imparted to them by their Supreme Being, to them. Allowing people to have an intimate relationship with their creator, one that is not forced, nor fed.

All this being said, It is with the greatest appreciation, respect, and humility, that I write to you. You have my sincere gratitude, and admiration, for not only hearing, and addressing my concern, but for the kind, and thoughtful way in which, you have done so.

Shalom and Mizpah,

AMY,
Awhile ago, you sent out a good discussion on Forgiveness. I am the Volunteer Chaplain at our local Hospice. I've written to you before about the many rewards doing this.
This Hospice is non profit and we do monthly "in service" for our employees and volunteers. You already are aware of the unusual family dynamics of these grief situations. Probably, one of the best opportunities we have is to show the importance of forgiveness in our daily lives. In counseling families, there's a good amount of guilt and more than enough lack of personal forgiveness. Remembering that the caregiver MUST be as healthy as is possible, restoring personal forgiveness is essential. This has the potential for good ULC exposure.
Keep up doing what u do so well.

Creating and Destroying Lesson:

Amy

Just reading through this one this evening upset me and made me go what on earth is this! But as I read all of the way through it I began to see it. I think this one will be very powerful and extremely useful for me. Last week I did not do the rose one because I have been to tired and a bit lazy! But now I will do it and add this one in.

You know when I read these I feel them in my body. I see them in my 3rd eye right a way and just let my self go there to see that it is like. Then I go practice them. It is a very interesting way to do it but it works.

Thanks for offering such a good program.

Hi Amy,
I'm Kenneth Colwill and I wanted to share with you my experience with the Golden Sun and Discourse #4 of the Spirit Quest Course. First, I am amazed at how much I have grown and changed in four weeks. The effectiveness of the grounding cord tool was surprising to me. I have been able to clear foreign energy that I have been carrying since childhood.
I was the "healer" of my dysfunctional family since I was 7 years old. I was the clown of the family and I would kick into high gear whenever the tension grew to explosive and I was able to disfuse it most of the time. It worked and it helped my family but I retained much of their energy because I did not know that I could release it and I certainly did not know how to clear it. Now I have finally been able to clear it and I feel like a new person.

Now to the Golden Sun tool. Being able to regain or collect the energy I have left behind has brought my life to a higher level of peace and functioning. I did the exercise as written and was able, over the past week, to collect much of the enregy I left behind all the way back to childhood. I feel stronger, more positive and more free to be the person who I really am. This freedom is something I have been searching for, for twenty years...what a blessed gift!

I can't wait for Discourse #5!

am very excited that I will be performing my first wedding ceremony in late September. I've been working with the couple and we've almost finalized the vows and ceremony itself. I have a cousin who is a florist, and she is sending her wedding clients my way.

When I do get a teaching job and a place of my own, I want to begin studies from the Seminary. I am particularly interested in the course you have "on hold" for Shamanism. I am doing some independent research on my Native American ancestry, and that course would serve multiple purposes. I've even spoken with a couple of cousins who are interested, too.

Additionally, I am watchful for information on the course in Reiki. I am a Reiki Master myself, and am curious about it. I read current literature to stay abreast of trends in the practice and study of Reiki.

I do enjoy the sample courses and the newsletter. I visit the site often, and soon (cross your fingers) I'll be in a better position to start studies and focus on goals related to an advanced degree from the Seminary.

Thank you for inquiring about my progress. I know you must be inundated with information to remember and I would hardly expect you to know what any one particular student has done coursewise. Your efforts and contributions to the newsletter and the seminary are very much appreciated by me and others, I'm sure.

Keep up your good work, and may you be blessed many times over for your efforts.

Love and light,

Bren

Hi Amy.

Thanks for e-mailing me. I really like this program. I have meditated at different times in my life but I have never had these kinds of tools to use. I find them great! I all ways feel good after I have done the grounding, clearing and roses. I really love blowing them up but at first it was not easy for me. The golden sun is so warm and calming for me I use it as much as I can. I think the one I like the best is the 3rd eye clearing. I all ways see a room that is a squished out circle that has a beautiful hard wood type floor and very soft lighting. When that floor is bright and clear then I am ready to move on. I have done variations on the one with bringing up the Earth's energy and the Sky energy. I definitely feel the difference when I did bring the Earth's energy all the way up--very heavy, very heavy.

I have also used variations on the visualizing practices. You understand sending pictures to people. I know that this works very well! I am a very picture oriented person and tend to communicate that way. I "see pictures" when I work on people all of the time Also I am a big fan of colours as I seen them a lot too.

So all in all I would say this has been a great learning tool for me and I all ways look forward to the next chapter!

Thank you for putting this together and I will stay in touch.

2006-08-21
Hello Rev. Amy Long,
I received your email a couple of days ago with the sample Discourse #3
of the Spirit Quest Course. I worked with it last night and I woke up
for the first time in my life, that I can remember, without the feeling
of concern and dread that I have been living with since my childhood
(I'm 53 years old). I worked the grounding all day today and I had a
carefree work day, another unusal thing for me. I have been suffering
from chronic negative self talk for as long as I can remember and today I
was able to catch myself and change my self talk to positive thoughts
instead of the "busy chatter" that has plaqued me forever. At about
11AM today I felt extremely sick to my stomach, so I went off by myself
and did the grounding meditation and felt all of the "other" energy but
my own leave me. For the rest of the day I felt well and content. This
evening I did the full meditation again and I am connecting with God so
strongly that I feel that I am beginning to "know" who I am. I
would like you to know that I have been working on myself, literally
24/7 for the past 28 years, and nothing I have done has ever catapulted
me so far so fast into the spiritual dimension as this one discourse.
It is quantum metaphysics.

I ordered the Spirit Quest course on-line last night, and I can't wait
to begin it. I feel so hopeful for my future now. Rev. Amy thank you,
thank you, thank you, and God bless you for such an amazing tool of
growth and exploration.

Sincerely,
Rev. Kenneth Colwill

I just want to tell you "Thank You" for the wonderful course I am studying with you. I guess it has already been 16 weeks, so will soon be over.

Yes, I have already taken 2 courses from you! Spirit Quest & Defining Spiritualism, both are very helpful in being a "minister". I do intend to write a sermon soon & have it posted! And I also want to take more courses when my finances & time allows me.
Right now I have been concentrating with my "self-help" meditation group, about just mattering and knowing who "you" are!
Thank you for all the emails and programs that you offer. I do plan on taking more!

Dear Rev. Long:

I am Rev. David Griffin and I am a proud member of the ULC Seminary. I am now taking the Dr. of Christian Studies-The Four Gospels Course and with my text book and the wonderful emails I have gained a much better understanding of Christ's teachings.

I am only able to take my courses one at a time as I am fighting stage 4 Metastatic Melanoma Cancer. People everywhere started Praying for me and by the Grace of God I am still here after a very tough 10 year battle. I think God has left me here for a reason and I felt his call so I became ordained here with the ULC and joined the seminary soon after. I felt a need to be connected and be a part of something and being a member of the ULC Seminary has been fulfilling my spiritual needs and I am proud to be a member.

You are making it possible for me to be an Educated Minister so I can help others in any way God will allow. I am excited about all the other courses I plan to take and if God will give me the time I hope to be a graduate of the seminary. I am looking forward to receiving my Dr. of Christian Studies soon. Please put me on your Prayer List as I know first hand what Prayer can do. I want to help as many people as I can with the time I have left and the Seminary is helping me do that.

GOD BLESS YOU:

Thank you Reverend Long,

I have only been studying one course (SpiritQuest)due to time and schedule commitments, but have enjoyed it immensely . I found it very informative and basically it reminded me of the things I have learned thru self study over the past few years. I applaud you for the "good work" your organization is doing by spreading the words of faith, hope and universal love to all. And, I applaud you for overcoming so many challenges in your own life.

My life too has been filled with challenge and turmoil, until I learned the principals of "creating my own reality" with positive thought followed by positive action and intention, and now am able to encourage my own daughter to do the same.

I look forward to continuing my sudies with your seminary.

Dear Amy, dear Loretta,

thanks a lot for the Certificate ID-Cards I received from you yesterday. With this the whole Course is absolutely complete. You fulfilled what you promised as results from participating in the course, entirely. In perfect timing. Like clockwork.

In very short words I give you my personal things: the day before yesterday I got that I completed a circle of development I started about 30 years ago. It was about the question: what is life about, what is it good for, what's my role in this "play". Deeply metaphysical questions.

It's not that I have all the answers to all the questions of the univers now. But on monday it popped up for me that I got MY answers I started for. That my 30-year circle is complete. And: the next day your letter came in.

From my level of being in the beginning of the Course it was a miracle. Looking from now it is pure creation. Pure meta physics. Me, I was ready for it. So, I got the complete course within one single second. I got it, absolutely.

Now I can see that this result in somehow has nothing to do with the physical materials you provided. So, in the course you can basicly write whatever you like. It's finally not the words (the content) that give the results. It's the context.

That it works what you do (are) I can see on my own. This means that it is going to work for all other participants as well. As life is holistic. You ARE what you say. Otherwise the results wouldn't "pop up" like they did for me.

Thanks again for the great work you are doing. Thanks for the course, thanks for being.

Best wishes, all blessings & fulfillment

I am so committed to doing what God has set forth for me and everyone of your sample courses have helped me in various ways. If the sample helps, I can only imagine what the whole course would do.

Please keep the samples coming. They do help me in one way or the other.

Warm Wishes Always, Reverend Don "Doc' Vine

Dear Amy,

Thank you so much for sending me the ULC newsletters. They are very helpful, enlightening and informative, and I am so thankful for them. Each of the newsletters has something special, and holds answers to a lot of our questions!

I look forward to becoming fully involved in ULC Seminary, and to
partaking of some courses to extend my education as a minister.

Sincerely,

Reverend Maryanne Ferine

Thank-you as always for sharing; as you promised. I look forward to more in depth studies in the near future. In the mean time I do so enjoy these excerpts.

May your works and life continue to give and give back to you; as you so willingly give to others. Thank-you.

Greetings Amy,

I am a ULC minister who was ordained back in 2001, and "former" member of the now defunct ULC Monastery (it has been about three years since I have had any involvement and just recently learned of their separation from
themain church). I just want to say what an excellent site you have created!

I am just now "returning" to the church and am becoming much more activethan I ever was. The Seminary website is the single best thing I have seen happen with ULC since my ordination. The information you provide is
most accurate, clear, concise, helpful and does not leave one wanting. I look forward to patronizing your site in the future. I can see that ULC HQ will not be able to ignore your current and future success, and you will no doubt become "Authorized" in the near future.

Thank You so much for your time and money in creating a "speaks for itself" ULC website.

Many Blessings,

Rev. Kerey D. Cheap

Hi Amy,

I'm so glad to hear that all is well with your wonderful, warm, caring ULC Seminary. I love what you are doing and I hope and pray that you will prevail in any legal issues with NY and / or NYC. I recently have Officiated my 1st wedding here in Long Island, NY.

As you know it wasn't Officiated as ULC. I hope you can get your lawyers to get ULC approved in NY through the court systems. There has been so many changes adding to the validly to the ULC.

I wish you the very best and thank you for your wonderful work in the seminary. God bless you.

Dearest Amy---
I just read your most candid announcement regarding your impending divorce. As another woman who has been through that (21 years of marriage at the time with a 5 y/o daughter)...my heart feels for you. It has now been 11 years of struggling trying to make a go of my passion and life purpose and keeping strong morals and values in the upbringing of my daughter---now a fabulous 17-year-old!

For you to share this with all of us shows how strong of a woman you truly are and I absolutely commend you for that!

You certainly have "a full plate" with all that you do and yet you continue to beam your light out to the rest of us who may feel that WE have it so difficult.

Thank you Rev. Amy for your inspiration.......your insight.......and showing us that you're just like one of us!

Blessings, Prayers and Much Light to you!

Dear Amy,
Although I have been on the quiet side doesn't mean ULC messages weren't qppreciated. I think I
have read all the messages and often times they have been passed on to other members of the cloth.
I don't have enough words to thouroughly express my appreciation except say you are included in
my daily prayers.

Dear Reverend Elizabeth,

Your article on "Insights Into Awareness" was simply magnificent for me at this time.

I focused upon your observations and your discerning comments for each. Then, I compared those portions of insight and blessings with my current services for Jesus, the Christ and King. I found a great relevance and, it is for that reason, I was compelled to contact you, and thank you for the enlightenment I received as a result of reading your offering.

With great eagerness, and expectations, I await more from your obvious Blessings.

With Christian Love,

I am sooooo excieted about the Doctor of Ministry. This carries a great deal of personal emphasis with it. I set a goal, worked through the goal and and it is almost completed. That is a great accomplishment for me.

I do appreciate everything you do with the seminary. For many folks the discussion board and the classes are real eye openers and life savers. I know the ULC doesn't have saints, but in my book, you are one.

Hi Amy:

Hope this finds you well.

Just got my copy today of Spirit Quest A Metaphysical Journey. It arrived so quickly after order - I was expecting it next week and wondered what was in the box. The book is lovely.

Now I no longer have to have my computer on and search for the correct lesson for a quick refresher or pick me up and I can have it with me all the time. Of all the courses I have taken, and am taking, this was the course that completely turned my life around.

I am so glad you had the course printed in book form for our use. Thank you so much.

Dear Rev. Long,
I recently received the wedding officiant training you developed and had the opportunity to review it. Soon after receiving the package, I had my first consultation.
The package you developed is excellent! It was extremely helpful. Having seen your example of a consultation helped keep me calm. The wedding planning book is a powerful tool. The bride-to-be was happy to receive it and thought it would be very helpful to them.
I find that I need to thank you again for all that you do for the ULC and the rest of us ministers. You are a true blessing for all of us.

Very respectfully,
Rev. Charles

I have been enjoying the Spirit-Quest Program. I just completed lesson 5 and am always looking forward to the nex installment. I have found the this program is a welcome validation of those things I have been practicing for many years.

I was born and raised Roman Catholic, but found at an early age that blind obedience to a religious doctorine was not what I was looking for. I began studing eastern religions in my late teens after I became involved in the art of Judo. I found that "spiritualism" was the missing link in my religious foundation. So I began practicing mediation and self awareness during these formative years.

Now in my later years I began to understand that it's time to pass on those things that I have come to believe. The Spirit-Quest is giving me the tools to do just that.

Thank you

Steve

Dear Reverend Amy Long,

I do receive each and every wonderful excerpt and email choked full of useful information and I save them all in a ULC Ministry file folder. I am so looking forward to the time that I will be able to take some courses. I think it was an awesome thing when you started offering classes as I never tell anyone that I have been ordained because I don't feel knowledgeable enough just yet. Despite my A.A. & B.A. in Psychology, I still have so much to learn so I can be a spiritually based counselor and/or minister. I agree that the classes will also make people take us at ULC seriously and not like we are just another site dolling out ordinations to anyone regardless of any training of any kind. Sure, I have Bible knowledge but the application of it to everyday life is what I am missing and what I hope to get from the numerous classes I so desperately wish to take. However, at this time I am the caregiver to my father of 77 who has cancer and I am disabled myself for more than half of my 51 years with physical problems that make me a chronic pain sufferer for more than 25 years. I have been in pain so long I don't really know what it is like to be without pain. Though I am looking forward to the time that I will be healed or just be in a place in my life where I won't have to focus on it so much.

I have spent my life being there for others, to the point that it is something totally new for me to be able to finally focus some on myself. I have a lot of time to make up for, on top of learning that I do deserve to turn my attention to myself, as long as it isn't constant focus on the negative aspects of my life.

Anyway, I just wanted to send a response and let you know that despite any current activity with ULC, it is at the top of the list of my hearts desires to begin my formal training with our ULC classes.

Thanks so very much for everything that you do for us Rev. Long, you are so very highly appreciated.

Brightest Blessings Always,

Greetings,

I just wanted to say thank you for all you do and everyone at ULC. My groups has been going strong for almost 20 years, I'm very proud of them, and ULC has been a very prominent figure in our lives. Thanks to you guys we have been legally recognized as ministers and have not had to fight the IRS system for church recognition as a different spiritual sect. Occasionally I get an email when I Initiate a new group, because I do it all through my email asking about the multiple names listed at my email, and all is well when explaining they are all getting ordained after achieving their Priest/Priestess status, and its great to see an actual person behind the machine! So once again, thank you for all you do!

Amy,

Thank you, I am enjoying the Spirit Quest Course as time avails doing one lesson per week I am up to #9. I and my wife are both involved in various modalities of healing, our ministry is more of action along those lines, we are not trying to teach, attract a congregation or do ceremonies, each of us apply our understanding in different ways, I am also enjoying the being a part of the RSS feed.

A wonderful message in this course.. It brought about the infamous "aha" moment as to ubderstanding why my feeling of complete peace in my life's changes irritate others and in many cases close friends..and family members are beginning to diminish from my life.

On a brighter note, new people with like minds have appeared.. The Universe is a wonderous place full of surprises.

Hi Amy,

I hope this email finds you doing AWESOME

I wanted to share a story with you. Before I read the Lesson on Forgiveness, I had an experience were I was talking with a friend, she was telling me about how hurt she was by someone she was dating, that she wanted him to hurt or even die for what he had done to her.

The anger and hate was overwhelming her. I listened to her and after she was finished, I felt I should share with her what I believed would help her.

She seemed to take it well and understand it, whether or not she took the advise is not clear yet. But what I wanted to share with you was, when I opened the discourse about forgiveness, I became so excited because I knew that what I had told my friend was on the money, it was something I already knew and was using. Your lesson not only confirmed to me that not only was I correct with the advise I gave my friend, but that it came at the correct time.

I did learn more from the discourse, the different way's of letting go were wonderful. I look forward to helping others not only learn to forgive others, but most of all, to forgive themselves.

Don't you just love how the universe works.

P.S. I love my eggs over easy. LOL

Thank you, Amy, I always enjoy these lessons you send and learn a great deal from them. I love the seminary and I love being a seminarian. Do you know when the course on Islam and the one on Gnostics are coming out? I am interested in taking both of them towards my Doctorate in Ministry.

God bless you and all you do. ULC has given me such joy. I am so humbled by being a Minster. It is the center of my life, serving God in all I do.

Thanks Amy, I am on Lesson 15 of the Ancient Christian History Course. It's a well organized and informative course. My studies have inspired me to expand my extra-curricular reading in diverse areas and viewpoints. I'm also watching documentaries and movies that relate to the topics in the course. I feel my own spiritual path expanding in exactly the ways I had anticipated. Thanks for offering this fine course and I look forward to adding new courses in the near future.

Greetings Amy!

Thanks for all the contact. YES YES YES! I have so enjoyed the sample courses and hope to see more. The four gospels one was quite interesting, however the Master of Awareness was great as well. If I'm correct there was one more lesson that I'm not recalling at the current second. I love to learn and I've printed out lessons and have them in my file and reference them. I would like to do more courses. I am hindered from doing more courses for I have no funds available. :( Please keep in touch! Can't wait to see what's next. I love ULC Sem!

Hi Amy,

I just wanted to say hello and thanks for keeping ULC rolling. It certainly seems to have grown under your tenure! It's a cool thing.

Thanks, and Good luck.

Hi Rev. Amy-

This is Rev. Kurt Fondriest from Chicago, hope all is well with you . Just wanted you to know I purchased your Minister wedding kit and I must say it is worth every penny. My performing ceremonies has increased. Your book the ultimate wedding planner is priceless. I give one to each couple when I meet them. I ordered 10 about a year ago and will be ordering more soon. I agree with you the couple really enjoy receiving them and it helps to ease their anxiety. Well hope summer is good. Oh I enclose my certificates from the various classes I have taken in the seminary. This impresses many people to see the various background in different religious philosophy I have. I have had people ask me about a certain class and they have like the info so much we have incorporated some stuff in to the service. Another good thing I have found is copying my section from the book the ULC Minister. I have found people like getting to know my philosophy briefly.

Thanks again-

Rev. Kurt

Dear Rev. Amy,
just a line or two to let you know that I received my "Master of Divinity" Degree diploma yesterday, and what an impressive document it is!

Although it is somewhat less ornate than the "Doctor of Divinity", "Missionary", and "Credentials of Ministry" diplomas I obtained from the Universal Life Church several years ago, it is far more authentic looking - and as I said, "Impressive". Thank you so much for honoring my request for an earlier date.

With Warmest Regards,

Dear Amy,

I am enjoying Spirit Quest very much. I am the mother of a young man with Aspergers Syndrome and spirit Quest has allowed me to gain new focus on how I can help my son acheive in life. It has also begun helping me find the peace in everyday life. The contentment that should come with being a spiritual person. I look forward each week to each new lesson. It's nice to have a forum to express myself and explore myself.

Amy,

I liked your last email... As our ministers become more public with their works, their services and their knowledge, ULC will be taken more seriously and we will be an even greater force to reckon with..., that is so right on. I feel that ULC is a wonderful avenue for a spiritual seeker and adviser like myself who does not find a connection with any one particular religious affiliation. I have had some financial obligations that have prevented me to begin the Seminary this past month but I am going to start my first course in September for certain. I am beyond excited about it too because my most immediate goal is to begin a Spiritual Outreach for the poor. I think that ULC is going to be a new opportunity not only to grow more spiritually but also to heal even more. I am a survivor of severe childhood sexual/physical abuse and I finally have found my spiritual calling. I have never really felt connected to any one belief structure. Up until ULC, I never found a church that was truly non-denominational.
ULC Seminary is affordable, and I have read some of the courses and submissions from students and I feel like ULC is really going to be an awesome experience in growth.

Amy, I am so looking forward to my first course!

Have a wonderful day Amy,

Rev. Brenda

Amy, I just completed lesson 17 on proselyting. It was such a relief to read it. I have wrestled with these ideas for years. I was a Mormon for 60 yrs and their belief is they are the chosen of latter days. They think they should do missionary work and save everyone. My present husband taught me that God can't be proven but only accepted on faith.

Faith cannot be proven, so why try to covert someone to your belief if it cannot be proven. Their faith can be just as valid as yours. I think the Mormons are a lower form of religion, as any religion who thinks they are the only chosen are. I love the religions who accept everyone's beliefs and look for the light of and in everyone and don't assume they will spread their beliefs throughout the earth.
It seems the religions that have been religions of the father, or the society in which you are born, have the advantage of indoctrinating their members from birth.
How wonderful the people of the world are you, who have broken out of those religions to see the light in all beings. Trish

 Hello Rev. Amy,
I was delighted to receive in today's mail my copy of More Weddings, Funerals and Rites of Passage.
You have done an excellent job of bringing all of the various ceremonies, blessings etc. into a book that is not only easy to read, but is varied and covers a great deal of information that I know will be of great assistance to me and those I serve.

I normally do not write notes like this, however I felt obligated to tell you how much I appreciate the work you have but into this book as well as all of the other work you have and are doing with the ULC Seminary.
Blessings on you and please keep up the good work.

Keeping in Touch with ULC

I was ordained last year through the ULC and it was one of the greatess feelings I have ever felt. After being ordained I decided to begin taking classes through the ULC and I could not be more happy or thrilled with the wide varitity of religious subjects to study. I plan on taking every course offered, but I wanted to let you know that I had a medical set back which has slowed down my studies, but my family downloaded all twenty lessons from the Comparitive Religion Course and I am slowly getting my strength back and just wanyed to let you know I have not given up. The biggest disappointment that I really have experienced since being ordained is that my Uncle, Dr. Rev. Foster of Wilmington, Delaware and his wife (my Aunt Betty)  Foster both passed away in the last year and when I had told them of my ordainion and continued religious studies they were THRILLED as I am the only one in the family to follow in his and hers wonderful footsteps. I so wanyed to do a sermon with them. Anyway here is my late excuse and will be finishing my studies. Thank you for all you do and may God be with you always.

Sincerely,
Rev. Foster

Kind Words from a ULC Minister

Dear Rev. Amy Long,
Thank you for sending out the newsletter consistently since I signed up. Your words of inspiration have helped me through many tough times and I greatly appreciate them from the depths of my soul. I have since my ordination, with your words of encouragement, continued to climb through my Order's ranks and have learned so much during that time. I have done much in my career as a High Priest and all the while I have faced many challenges that life has thrown at me. Without your great encouragement I would not have remembered that I am truly divine, within and without. Thus, I wanted to give you a word of encouragement in return and let you know that you ARE making a difference for us out here that are fellow ministers of many faiths.

Rev. Lord Alfonso E Martinez, III

A miracle story

HELLO FAMILY OF GOD,
I WANT TO SHARE WITH YOU A MIRACLE THAT JUST HAPPENED TO ME...
I WAS AT WORK, RINGING UP A CUSTOMER, AND TWO OF THE OTHER EMPLOYEES WERE STANDING BY ME.
WHEN I FINISHED WITH THE CUSTOMER, BOTH OF THE EMPLOYEES , PAT AND COLIN LOOKED AND ME AND SAID, "HOW DID YOU DO THAT, WHAT WAS THAT, TELL US,"  I  LOOKED AT THEM AND SAID, 'I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT, TELL ME".
THEY SAID THEY BOTH SAW THIS VAPOR OF SMOKE, LIKE A CLOUD COME OVER ME, AND THEN IT FADED AWAY.
AT FIRST I THOUGHT THEY WERE JOKING AROUND, BUT NO, THEY WERE BOTH VERY VERY SERIOUS, THEY BOTH SAW THE SAME THING.
AFTER THINKING ABOUT IT, AND THINKING OF WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS, I HAD THE ANSWER....I TOLD THEM IT WAS THE SUPERNATURAL MANIFESTATION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, (THE SPIRIT OF GOD), (THE GLORY CLOUD) (THE GLORY OF GOD), I HAVE BEEN TALKING TO THEM BOTH ABOUT GOD FOR SOMETIME NOW, AND THIS WAS A SIGN FOR THEM, THAT GOD IS REAL, GOD IS WANTING THEM TO BELIEVE, IT WAS NOT FOR ME, BUT FOR THEM, BECAUSE HE LOVES THEM LIKE THEY ARE HIS ONLY CHILDREN.  IT WAS A MIRACLE...YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN THE LOOK ON THEIR FACES, THEY WERE IN AWE, COULD NOT BELIEVE IT, BUT, THEY SAW IT WITH THEIR OWN EYES.
AS YOU MAY OR MAY NOT BE ABLE TO IMAGINE, I FEEL SO BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED TO HAVE THIS HAPPEN TO ME,  THANK YOU GOD, THANK YOU JESUS, THANK YOU HOLY SPIRIT..
IN ACTS CHAPTER 2, VERSE 19, WHICH JUST HAPPENS TO BE MY BIRTHDAY, IT SAYS, "I WILL SHOW WONDERS IN HEAVEN ABOVE, AND  SIGNS IN THE EARTH BENEATH, BLOOD AND FIRE, VAPOR OF SMOKE."
NOW FOR THE OTHER PART OF THIS MIRACLE, THIS PAST WED. NIGHT DEDE AND I WENT TO CHRISTIAN FAMILY CHURCH, A CHURCH WE LIKE TO GO TO ON WED. NIGHTS, PASTOR THEO IS HOLY SPIRIT TEACHER.
THIS PASS WED. HE WAS SPEAKING ON THE  HOLY SPIRIT AND THE (VAPOR OF SMOKE, THE SUPERNATURAL MANIFESTATION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE GLORY OF GOD, COMING FROM HEAVEN TO EARTH)...i WAS JUST SITTING LISTENING TO PASTOR THEO AND HEARING HIM CONFIRM WHAT HAD JUST HAPPEN TO ME A FEW DAYS AGO.
AFTER THE SERVICE I WENT UP AND SHARED WITH HIM WHAT HAD HAPPEN TO ME.
HE ASKED TO TO COME AND SHARE THIS WITH IS CHURCH, AND SO, TONIGHT, SAT. FEB. 25, AT 6 PM, I WILL BE SHARING, AND ALSO TOMORROW, SUNDAY, FEB. 26 AT THE 9 AM SERVICE AND THE 11 AM SERVICE.
THANK YOU GOD, WHAT A MIRACLE,
2012, A YEAR OF MIRACLES,
I AM ASKING YOU TO KEEP ME IN YOUR PRAYERS, FOR A SUPERNATURAL MANIFESTATION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, THANK YOU.
IN HIS LOVE,
HIS SERVANT, YOUR PRAYER CAPTAIN,
LOUIS V./ MR. V, The prayer captain.
PRAYING FOR YOU DAILY
